I'm Anastasia Tsatsakis and I am a wife, mom to a great son, patriot, devout Orthodox Christian and a Nebraska Cornhusker fan through and through! Originally from Omaha, I married my husband in Illinois and ultimately we found our way to Arizona, where we have lived for 9 years. We made Vail our home and since then have been very involved in our community.

I realized in 2020, when our district was considering mitigation plans, that I needed to take action and knew trouble was coming. I've been in front of the school board fighting for the kids and their rights ever since.

After April 27, I was catapulted into the spotlight for being “elected” to the VUSD board and calling for mask mandates to be lifted. Since then I fought for our community, demanding answers to the questions that are still to this day needing answers. Everything from mandates, funding, CRT/SEL, GLSEN, curriculum transparency issues, ESSERS, and calling to account the wrongdoing and silence of the current board members!

My valuable connections to many important school choice groups in Arizona and with assistance of the legislature will make me invaluable to my district and our community!

Accountability, transparency, preservation of parent and child rights, and fighting for the community are my goals! Join me and let's correct our future path to greatness together!

My mission is to provide parents with a safe, nurturing community and environment where, while in our care, schools can help educate their students and provide a quality education by way of teaching the basics and expanding on critical thinking skills. As a board member, I will focus on working with our community and parents to ensure the success of this district!

Community collaboration, parental involvement, collaboration and inclusion for decisions that affect our entire district needs to be primary in our daily functions to keep the focus where it needs to be...on learning the core necessities to help our kids succeed when they go out into the world to be even greater than they are today!
